Vehicle security systems deter
thefts by sounding the siren. You can add more deterrent by
adding a "starter disabl" ciruit to your vehicle for even
more protection.

Most security systems have a
feature called starter disabled this feature simply blocks
the electrical current to the starter from the vehicles key
switch, when the vehicle is in the armed state the vehicle
cannot be started unless the security system is unarmed.

most vehicles and will send a
positive voltage to the vehicles starter one tedious time to
start position. this wire can typically be found in the
steering column this water by simply toting you
a digital test light . and when the vehicle is in the
star division is aware of it will be used to Interop the
starter. when testing for this wire always use the digital
test light as digital test lights will draw much less
current than a standard incandescent light test light.

The starter
interrupt is a relay, which ties in between the ignition
switch and the starter solenoid. The starter solenoid main
power feed draws a huge amount of current, so the solenoid
feed wire going to the starter cannot be spliced into. The
wire that you tie into is the small wire going to the
starter solenoid that tells the solenoid to energize when
you turn the key to the “start” position.
