Pin Switches
The pin
(plunger-type) switches that come with most alarms are optional.
Their purpose is to trigger the siren when a door, hood or trunk
opens.
|
|
In most cases, you
can tie into the pin
switches that are already in the car. Look for the switches that
turn on the dome light when you open doors. Tap into the
wires
leading away from the switches. They can be found throughout the
vehicles wiring .
|
Many vehicles will
have multiple circuits on each to switch, sell you will want to tap
into the vehicles dome light wire , not the actual switch wire. this
means that the I restore switch will be on a different circuit than
the passenger door switchs etc. you may add texture protection by
placing hand switches on the trunk
or hood, however the shock sensor to wilted Oakley cover these areas
to as it will take some type of force or impact to enter these
locations.
also most vehicles ,
the quipped with truck and switches and are built into the latching
mechanical part of the trunk lock. in this case you can tap into the
vehicles wiring for the trunk switch usually found under the dash to
or at the BCM (body control module). placing a pan switch or mercury
switch will add extra protection as some would be thieves gain
access under the hood to disconnect siren, horn or even vehicles
battery.
