Efficiency - The ratio of energy
output to total energy input.
•
Electrolytic Capacitor - A capacitor
with positive and a negative terminal that
only passes alternating current.
•
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) - The
interference caused by an electromagnetic
field which is created by the stream of
current.

Electrostatic Loudspeaker - Two pieces
of metallic foil divided by a sheet of
dielectric within the speaker.
• Enclosure
- A speaker box used to separate the front
sound waves from the rear sound waves.

Equalization - Changing the frequency
balance of a signal so acoustical energy is
corresponding to the electrical input.
• Equalizer - A component which
alters the frequency balance of an audio
