What do resistors have to do with my car?
There are several
applications that resistors will help with in the world of
automotive electronics, however,the one used in most cars
will be to access the data bus accessory activation super
highway. Many vehicles now will incorporate a "single wire" |
|
information
line to communicate the cars assessors to the vehicles
computer. See
Data Bus for more information. This data bus or
"multiplexing" can control many different functions on the
vehicle.
By using a single
wire and different resistance values you can activate or
manipulate devices from unlocking the door, to starting the
car.
